Raclette Savoyarde Tasting event !After the great success of the last French Pastry by Sandrine's Tasting event, l am thrilled to offer another of these signature events : a raclette Tasting !
What is raclette ?... it's a dish from the Alp Mountains, both on the France and Swiss sides. Made with a specific sort of cheese, which is melted and poured on baked potatoes and an assortment of charcuterie. "Raclette" means scrapping, as you scrap with a specific knife, the top melted slice of the half-wheel of cheese placed on a heater.
For this event happening at Cedar Ridge Winery and Distillerie, in Swisher, the authentic raclette cheese will be imported from Savoie - France, and served with Atlas white wine locally made at the Winery.
This is a traditional winter comfort food dish, traditionally enjoyed after a day of ski or hike in the Alps !
