About this Event
The prestigious 50th Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach will feature more than just world-class racing this year. The Stand 21 Safety Foundation will be returning to host their annual safety conference on Saturday during this milestone event. This year's presentation will focus on "Racing Safety at Any Age".
Whether you're a young karting enthusiast just starting your racing journey, a seasoned professional, or an experienced driver continuing to compete in your senior years, this essential presentation will cover critical safety protocols and innovations designed to protect racers across all age groups.
Joining our panel of speakers will be Bonneville legend Danny Thompson. His remarkable racing journey began at just 9 years old and spans across quarter-midgets, motocross, Formula Atlantic, sprint cars, and stadium trucks. Thompson later made history in land speed racing, notably piloting the Challenger 2 to an extraordinary 448.75 mph, shattering the overall piston-driven land speed record.
Don't miss this opportunity to learn from safety experts at one of motorsport's most celebrated events. The knowledge gained could make all the difference when it matters most
