About this Event
REFLECT | CONNECT | CREATE NEW WORLDS
YWCA Madison’s Racial Justice Summit is among the largest multiracial, intergenerational, and interdisciplinary annual gatherings of people committed to racial justice, collective healing and liberation in the United States.
The 2024 Racial Justice Summit, offered Virtually on Sept. 25 - 26 and In Person on Sept. 27, will invite us to practice with the guiding metaphor of the Kaleidescope, which asks us to REFLECT, CONNECT, and CREATE NEW WORLDS.
REGISTER by AUGUST 26
Come experience national authors, activists, and healers such as Ijeoma Oluo, Ruth King, Autumn Brown, and David Dean - as well as a community of practitioners, educators, artists, facilitators, and community organizers who will offer a combination of inspiring virtual keynotes, conversations, small group in-person sessions and gatherings, moving art, pop-up market, music, a rooftop party and more!

The Summit is both a unique professional development opportunity for staff across organizations while also offering opportunities for multiracial and intergenerational dialogue and collective visioning across multiple justice movements: restorative justice, gender justice, healing justice, immigration justice, disability justice, climate justice, economic justice, organizational change for equity, and more.
YWCA Madison’s holistic model will guide attendees in examining the way their personal racial justice practice of learning, unlearning, and healing can transform relationships, cultures and systems for justice and liberation.

Additional accessibility information about other sites for in-person gatherings will be provided when those opportunities are announced.
Although the Summit is not a fragrance free event, we ask in-person Summit attendees to limit their personal use of products that contain fragrance to a minimum (i.e perfumes, lotions, room sprays, sanitizers, etc.) as these can trigger serious health issues for people with chemical sensitivities. You can learn more about why engaging in this collective behavioral change matters here.
