About the Racial Justice Cohort
In 2021, 12 local Black-led organizations were selected for the Racial Justice Cohort, a trust-based partnership rooted in African Diasporic values. Each organization received up to $40,000 in renewable grants for three years with the opportunity to share knowledge, network and identify best practices to achieve their organizational goals. During this process, the cohort focused their collaborative efforts toward shared goals to drive transformative change.
The Racial Justice Cohort was supported by the Community Foundation of Louisville, in partnership with its charitable fundholders and the James Graham Brown Foundation, the Lift a Life Novak Family Foundation, BrightSpring Health Services and Glick Philanthropies.
