Workshops with Rachele Morelli & Francesco Maria Paglionico in Basel.

Rachele’s and Francesco’s relationship with tango began in their adolescence, and tango has profoundly changed their lives. Tango is now an integral part of their daily life.
They have been dancing together since 2018.
This collaboration began with workshops and performances in local milongas, but they were soon invited to international festivals.
Tango is a journey of growth for them; it is a world they are passionate about exploring, and they committed to sharing their discoveries with their students.
For Rachele and Francesco teaching means conveying the passion and beauty of Argentine tango, a dance that is based on improvisation and on nonverbal communication between partners. Therefore, they like to base their teaching on the communicative quality of movement. Tango is a language and, as such, to dance it as couples, it is necessary to share the same "alphabet" with which each person can express themselves freely.
In this silent dialogue, the embrace takes on a fundamental role: it is not just a way of being close, but a channel of communication, a flow of sensory and emotional information. For this reason, Rachele and Francesco devote a central place to the embrace in their teaching. Their experience helps students express themselves through movement, so that everyone can discover their own individuality in dance, connecting with their partner and music.
For Rachele and Francesco, teaching goes beyond technique: the Argentine tango is not just dance, but a world rich in cultural, relational, emotional, historical and musical nuances.
