“USA BMX & BMX Canada are among the top fundraisers for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Each year, riders gather funds & donations for this worthwhile cause. The Race For Life series was started in 1981 to help a fellow BMXer diagnosed with leukemia.” We are happy to help support this cause and will be holding our Race For Life fundraiser event on Sunday, May 5th. Registration & practice will be from 12:30-1:30pm, racing will follow. $10/bike & $15/both cruiser & class. Striders and first time riders are FREE! Loaner bikes and helmets are available at no cost. Long sleeves covering elbows & pants covering knees are required. Gloves are recommended.
This is going to be a fun filled day of racing! We’ll have raffle prizes and food available.
Half of all race proceeds will be donated to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society on behalf of USABMX. *Riders have an additional way to contribute towards this cause by collecting donations ahead of our scheduled RFL event. Riders can create an online profile fundraising page at classy.org/campaign/2024-usabmx-race-for-life/c545671 Join by entering the track’s name: Emerald Valley BMX, and share your profile. *Envelopes for cash & check donations are available at the registration booth. **Cash & Check donations are due at the track the day of the event; 5/05. Online donations are accepted until 10/15.
This is a great opportunity through the sport we love to help people in two ways. First, by raising funds for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to help those battling the disease. Secondly, by inviting your friends out to race for FREE!
Everyone who participates in the Race For Life event will receive a certificate, as well as trophies for 1st-3rd podiums. Those who are participating in collecting donations & funds will also have the opportunity to earn more prizes provided by USA BMX. Check event posts for more details.
