Czech Arcade Repre set the new world record in 2019. Our hero LEX was crowned the king of this game in the arcade category and WES took second place with his performance. This record was very important for Czech Arcade Repre, as it was only our second after Cosmic Alien. We talked about this success in several retro game shows and podcasts, and it became widely known that the R-TYPE just kind of belongs to us.However, in June 2024, the Englishman JammaTron had a slightly different opinion and beat LEX's record by 34 thousand points. This is actually our favorite moment. If an opponent of similar qualities appears, it is great to measure strength with him from a distance. It motivates you to come back to the game, study your opponent's gameplay, plan your strategy, and you always learn a little more about the game. It was no different in this case as well. After a few days, LEX and WES came with the conviction that they knew how to do it, so we started the preparation of this Payback, when we will try to take the World Champion title in R-TYPE back for the Czech Republic.

The event will take place again at the ArcadeHry arcade games museum in Červený Újezd in the Czech Republic with the cooperation of Jan Orna and his team. We will be streaming R-Type directly from the machines, but from now on without commentary or moderator. But if you want to experience the real atmosphere of this event, you have to be with us right in the museum! For fans of our records, we offer a special ticket for Friday 26.7. + Saturday 27.7. in a uniform price of 600 CZK / person. It is possible to sleep in the car or by agreement in a tent in front of the museum or directly in the museum (write to [email protected]).
