3/5/25: Date has been changed from April 5 to May 17, 2025. Interested in helping Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary care for orphaned wildlife?
Consider becoming a Wildlife Rehabilitation sub-permittee with the R-PAWS program, a part of the Friends of Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary organization!
R-PAWS stands for Rehabilitation Program at the Wildlife Sanctuary.
There are 3 required trainings to attend to learn about caring for animals under the Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary's license. And yes, they are all required!
This is not a class for obtaining your personal license.
Reservations are required for this first informative presentation. This is to find out what R-PAWS is about-- no commitment necessary! Meet current R-PAWS sub-permittees and learn about how they started in R-PAWS and how they care for wildlife with Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary.
The first introductory presentation will be held on Saturday, May 17th, 8:30am until 2pm at Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary Nature Center in the upstairs auditorium. This is to learn about the rules and regulations about caring for wildlife as an R-PAWS member. Please sign up by May 14, 4pm.
To be a member of R-PAWS, you must live within 40 miles of Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary and be over 18 years old. Live animals are not a part of this presentation. This presentation is in person-- there is not an online participation option.
Reservations for this presentation must be made by sending an email to [email protected] with:

If you have any questions about this program or the presentation, please email Lori at [email protected]
This is not our onsite volunteer program-- to sign up to be an onsite volunteer, please fill out an application at BayBeachWildlife.com and submit it to our Animal Care department! We are always looking for onsite volunteers!
This is the only time this presentation will be offered and it is required for the R-PAWS program. Thank you!
