About this Event
Topic: 2025 QLD Exploration Scorecard
The Queensland Exploration Council (QEC) aims to foster exploration industry growth in Queensland. Among its initiatives is the annual release of the Queensland Exploration Scorecard, derived from a sentiment survey of exploration companies.
The QEC has released the 15th edition of the Exploration Scorecard, which has accumulated a data set that tracks the key issues of concern and areas of opportunity for the exploration sector over this time. It’s the largest longitudinal data set of its kind in Queensland and provides the trends needed to inform long-term decision-making and policy settings to position Queensland as a resources growth state.
The Scorecard which reflects sentiment from over forty explorers and drillers, tells the story of an exploration sector that maintains strong confidence in the state’s commodity potential and the quality of the data available to translate potential into reality. However, the results suggest that policy and other administrative challenges when compared to competing jurisdictions are discouraging exploration in the State.
