The Schweinfurth is hosting four Trunk Shows during our annual Quilts=Art=Quilts exhibition that can intensify your experience of viewing beautiful art quilts. At these talks, quilt artists display their works and talk about their inspiration and processes. The Trunk Shows are at 2 pm on Sundays and are free with $10 admission.Growing up on a farm in the foothills of the Catskill Mountains, Sharon Bottle Souva has an intimate relationship with the natural world. As a child, she was drawn into the beauty of trees, flowers, and rolling farm hills. Her inspirations comes from the views in gardens, woods, streams, and mountains, incorporating a sense of realism edged with minimalism to translate the simplicity of nature into her designs. She currently is an associate professor at Onondaga Community College, teaching Color and Concept Development. In addition, she holds workshops and classes specializing in fabric art and collage throughout the region.
