Have you always fancied trying you hand at quilting? Want to make your own works of art in fabric? Look no further than the Sew Confident Quilting for Beginners class!With some help from our fabulous tutor you will make a 40.5″ x 55″ quilt. Perfect as a new baby present or for yourself to keep you cosy on the couch in winter.
You will learn all about the different tools, cutting techniques, different layouts, pressing techniques and how to line everything up and sew it perfectly, and loads more! This quilt is made using the sewing machine but some hand finishing techniques are also included.
Some prior sewing experience is necessary but you only need very basic sewing skills such as completing our beginners sewing course, if you are unsure get in touch!
What To Bring:
10 x Fat Quarters of various prints
1/2 metre non stretch fabric such as cotton for binding
1 1/2 metres non stretch backing fabric such as cotton
1 x fusible crib sized wadding/batting (60 x 45″) We will have it here if you need to purchase.
Thread colours as desired.
We now have quilting fabrics available in the shop that can be cut into fat quarters for you so please get in touch if you would like us to help you with all the materials. We also sell a whole range of quilting accessories that you can pick up on the day if you need them!
