Quilting 101 - Introduction to Quilting with Julie

This class is for students wanting to learn how to quilt or solidify their existing basic quilting skills. The class objective is to learn quilting basics – rotary cutting, piecing, borders, basting, quilting, and binding.
CLASS PROJECT: Each student will make an approximate 55” x 65” lap quilt using the Rail Fence pattern, Figure 1. The rail fence is a great quilt for beginners because it has very few matching corners, straight seams, rectangular piecing, and can be made quickly. It allows students to focus on quilting basics from sewing a 1/4" seam, rotary cutting, piecing, borders, basting, quilting, and binding.
