Jacksonville's 37th annual Quiltfest is a showcase of about 400 quilts all hand made by fiber artists. There are thirteen categories for the quilters to vie for first second third place awards plus honorable mention and judges recognition ribbons. The artistic quality and appeal is breathtaking. In addition visitors can purchase sewn hand-made holiday items including quilts and crafts. There are raffles a silent auction to benefit Community Hospice Peds Care special exhibits demonstrations opportunities to make items and vendors of fabric sewing machines and other tools important to the quilters.
Come see what makes today's quilter unique and fresh compared to the old quilts you may know. This is appropriate for all ages. Daily tickets are $15 with discounts for seniors and veterans and their families. Children under 12 are free. Advance tickets are available via Ticketmaster and will be sold at local fabric stores during August. Parking is free thanks to the Quiltfest Board of Directors.
