About this Event
This useful sized tote bag is great for everyday use or what a wonderful gift for someone this Christmas.
Once you’ve made one you will be eager to make more, using different themes, Summer/Autumn etc.
We will make a large patchwork front pocket using the ‘quilt as you go’ technique and instead of a magnetic snap closure there is a recessed zipper for extra security. Using fusible fleece will make the bag more robust and will last a long time with daily use.
Skill level : Basic sewing machine skills required.
You will need:
- 1/2 metre of upholstery weight, Wool, Wool mix fabric
- 1/2 metre of lining fabric
- 1/2 metre of Fusible fleece
- 20cm of 4 different quilting cottons ( Christmas theme or other)
- 20” dress zip
- Matching main fabric thread
Janome sewing machines will be provided on the day along with a hot drink. You will also receive a 10% discount card to use in-store.
