Quiet Storm After Dark Open Mic Night II

Quiet Storm Roasters and Bakery (R&B or Rhythym and Blues) : (music) A radio format and genre of R&B that is performed in a smooth, romantic, jazz-influenced style usually associated with the mid to late 1970s.

Envelop yourself in an evening of safe, soft and warm communal expression as we invite you into a night of storytelling and all of its forms. Rather you communicate best with Poetry, Singing, Spoken Memoir, Musical Instrument or want 5 minutes to tell a story, we have the affirming and inclusive space for you. Your story is your power and we want to grant you the oppurtunity to let it be heard.

This showcase is staged within the Quiet Storm Roasters and Bakery space which moonlights as a Cigar Lounge, Beer & Wine Bar as well as a Plant Store; a little something for everyone! You can absolutely come to pack the house out and simply enjoy the space while stimulating all of our need to be in Community!

TIME: 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.

Event starts at 7:00 p.m. Doors open early at 6:00PM for sign-ups and the space will be open until 9:30 p.m. to allow for mingling and community building.

SIGN-UP INFO: Sign-ups to share your work on stage start at 6:00PM on the day of, first come first serve. Simply write your name on our sign-up sheet! We recommend arriving early to reserve your spot.

PARKING INFO: Limited street parking

There is also limited street parking along 5th Ave and surrounding residential streets but this I a Friday Evening and typically parking is accessible as this is the quieter side of Hillcrest.
