The 6th episode of 𝗤𝗨𝗜𝗗𝗗𝗜𝗧𝗬 (𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗲 𝘅 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱) features 𝗛𝗮𝗳𝗶𝘇 𝗬𝘂𝘀𝗼𝗳, an accomplished artist active since 2006 and the director and co-founder of Opera Academy Singapore. Hafiz excels in poetry, short stories, and plays, earning multiple literary awards and collaborating with renowned Malay theatre groups. He is joined by 𝗟𝗮𝘄 𝗖𝗵𝗶-𝗬𝗮𝗻 (𝗟𝗼𝗼 𝗭𝗵𝗶-𝗘𝗻), a Singaporean piper who seeks to expand bagpipe performance beyond its traditional militaristic and competitive contexts. Specializing in Scottish smallpipes, with a background in Highland bagpipes, Chi-Yan is also a PhD candidate at the National University of Singapore, studying the dissemination of Highland bagpipes in the pre-1947 Indian Army.

____________________________________________
𝗠𝗜𝗔𝗢 𝗗𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘 淼舞 is proud to present 𝗤𝗨𝗜𝗗𝗗𝗜𝗧𝗬 (𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗲 𝘅 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱), an hour long improvisation jam between one theatre practitioner and one musician / sound artist.
.
.
Exploring the intersectionalities and possibilities of the sonic and physical realms, the performance project aims to promulgate the concepts of improvisation, exploration, experimentation and collision.
.
.
Artists are challenged to meet on the afternoon of performance day at 5pm to discuss their strategies (if any) for the evening's improvisation performance at 8pm. The spontaneity of each unique sharing thus underscores its own ephemerality, for makers and viewers.
