Quicksand is a legendary American post-hardcore band formed in 1990. Hailing from New York City, the band's current lineup consists of Walter Schreifels (vocals and guitar), Sergio Vega (bass), and Alan Cage (drums).

Quicksand gained recognition in the early '90s for their unique blend of alternative rock, punk, and metal, delivering powerful and emotionally charged music. One of their most celebrated albums, "Slip," was released in 1993 and is considered a seminal record in the post-hardcore genre. "Slip" showcases Quicksand's signature sound, characterized by dynamic and intricate guitar work, driving basslines, and intense yet melodic vocals. The album's introspective lyrics resonate with listeners, touching on themes of self-discovery, personal struggle, and societal pressures.

In celebration of the 30th anniversary of "Slip," Fans can expect an electrifying live experience as the band revisits the album's influential tracks, including fan favorites like "Fazer," "Dine Alone," and “Head To Wall” as well as playing bangers from albums ‘Manic Compression’ (1995), ‘Interiors’ (2017) and 2021’s critically acclaimed ‘Distant Populations’.

Over the years, Quicksand has left an indelible mark on the music scene, inspiring numerous bands and artists with their distinctive sound and raw energy. Despite a brief hiatus in the late '90s, the band's legacy has only grown stronger, cementing their status as pioneers in the alternative rock and post-hardcore realms.

As they hit the road for their first summer headline tour down under, Quicksand's passionate performances and timeless music are sure to captivate both longtime fans and new listeners alike, reaffirming their influential position in the history of rock music.
