I need to clear some air. The night of the accident there was a big misunderstanding, and of course there was. It was pure pandemonium. Quick Fix Band does not have any issues with Troy, owner of Tako Tiki Jensen Beach or Mike owner of Night Owl Entertainment.As soon as the accident happened, and saw that our bass player's wife was injured and needed to go to the hospital, I immediately made it clear that Lee was going to go to the hospital with his wife, and we were not performing. Troy was out of town, and his staff was taking care of the injured, the first responders, and the large crowd that assembled and continued to build as it was all happening. Mike was unreachable at the moment as well. All information was being relayed by an associate's of Mike's that was the only one available at the moment. Messages were read out of context on my side and I may have been just a little bit more adamant than needed. I put people above profit, and immediately became steadfast, when I felt opposition.
After everything calmed down, it was realized that both Troy and Mike feel the same way as I do. People First.
If anyone was there, they would not question my decision. If you see the raw footage from the security camera, you would be horrified. All the news channels altered the video in a way to not see everything.
Troy has worked very hard and has helped the Martin County Sheriff's Office above and beyond any expectations.
Troy, Mike, Tako Tiki, Night Owl, and Quick Fix send all our love, thoughts and prayers to all that were injured, and wish for a speedy recovery for all.
We have all come together to give the fans of Quick Fix Band and Tako Tiki one last Quick Fix Band concert, at Tako Tiki, on November 8th at 7:30pm, before Tommy and Tiffany move away. A redo, if you will. To have the night of celebration that should have been. Please join us.
