Just like CPR, QPR (Question. Persuade. Refer.) is an emergency response to someone in crisis and can save lives.In this supported 2 hour training, you will learn the skills needed to recognise the warning signs of suicide, offer hope to someone who may be in crisis and refer on to appropriate support services.
This training is delivered by qualified Mental Health Clinicians from local service, Rural Outreach Counselling.
QPR training is suitable to people over 18, community members and service workers.
MateKeeper volunteers will be available at all upcoming QPR training sessions to support participants and share more about their experience as a volunteer.
Meals and refreshments will be provided for for each training session.
