Bi-weekly Queer Yoga on Sunday nights taught by Telisha Kuny (she/they) from Bee You Yoga. The QCC will add more nights and teachers as we fundraise for costs to be met. We hope to have every Sunday night in the coming months as offerings. Yay! Maximum 10 participants each night.
Class Time: 6:30-7:45pm
Door: We will have doors open from 6:15-6:30pm, once class has started you will not be let in.

"Hi, I'm Telisha!
I'm passionate about creating a safer, inclusive space where students of all background and experience levels can feel seen, supported, and free to be themselves. Whether you're stepping onto the mat for the first time or deepening your practice, my goal is to guide you toward deeper connection with your body, breath, and inner peace. I discovered yoga in my early 20's during a period of personal growth and healing. What started as a refuge quickly became a lifelong passion for movement, mindfullness, and self-discovery. With a background in gymnastics and dance, I bring a love for alignment, grace, and flow into every class.
I am certified in Hatha, Vinyasa, Hot Yoga, Restorative, and Meditation, with over 17 years of practice. My classes blend strength and stillness, movement and relaxation, creating space for you to explore, grow, and come home to yourself. I teach with a bubbly, compassionate energy, always encouraging creativity, vulnerability, and joy on the mat. My classes are an invitation to explore your own unqiue path and return to your true self, again and again."
Accessibility: Our space can be found on the second floor of 888 Fort Street. When entering from Fort Street, there is a small ramp incline up to the doors form the side walk, and no steps. The automatic door opener to enter and exit the lobby is functional. I
In the lobby you'll find an elevator you can take to the 2nd floor. Once you are off the elevator, there is a long hallway to the waiting area. (approx 50 ft)
The washrooms are on the left of the halloway when you are entering the space. There are 2 washrooms, and one with two stalls, and on with 1 stall and a urinal. Both washrooms have one accessible stall. Signs on the washrooms are gender neutral and contain a visual description of the fixtures available in each room. The washrooms also have a lock if you should prefer to use the washroom privately.
The doors to the washrooms are 33” wide, the doors to the accessible stalls are 34” wide, and the sinks are 32.5” from the floor. The light switches are 55” from the floor, to the left of the door when you enter.
Outside the washrooms, the narrowest dimension is 38” between a wall and a half-wall when entering the waiting area.
We have a low lighting, scent reduced space.
COVID: If you are feeing sick, please stay at home. We can refund you if you make a donation. Our main space doesn't have windows that can be opened, but the office we can be in will have an open window for air flow. We have masks available to use, please use them if that makes you feel safer. Hand Sanitizer is available, and we ask you to use this coming into the space, and before touching the snack bar. Bring your own hand sanitizer if you need to.
