Queer Womxn's KLUBnite, is a brand new evening, of performance and clubbing, celebrating and promoting, local talent. A night for grrrls to mix and mingle... "Grrrls to the front!"The night is also a fundraiser for LGBTQI charity, The Kite Trust. There will be compering for the event, by Cambridge's own Drag King, Emmanuel Labour... who will also do a performance spot.
We will kick off at 4pm, with two womxn fronted punk bands, first rocking out with the amazing Fyzz Wallis Band, followed by the irresistible bounce of Goddammit Jeremiah. These stomping acts will then give the floor to Cattytales, a brilliant, lyrical, hip hop/spoken word artist from Cambridge, and well established rapper/singer Miss Mercal, stopping by to bedazzle you, before the festival season truly kicks off.
Emmanuel Labour is then set to seduce us with wit and crooning.
Bust some moves with a 90s and noughties indie set on the decks, we then switch up the tempo with DJ Miss_Demeanor playing retro, pop punk, garage and bass donk. the night is topped off with DJ Mx. Midori (from goth night, The Calling), spinning synth punk/electronic, dark wave and EBM, until 11pm.
