Beginner Queer Tango Series in March*No partner or experience needed. Absolute beginner's welcome. This is a fun, no pressure class where you will learn the basics of Argentine Tango with supportive teachers.
Registration for March is open. This series may sell out out and we recommend that you register.
CLASS SCHEDULE
Sunday March 2, 9, 16, 23, 30
3:15-3:30 : check in
3:30-4:30: Beginner Class
4:30-5:30: optional practice hour
SATURDAY March 15th
6-7 pm Beginner class
7-10 pm Dance party -- socialize, meet the larger queer tango community, dance if you wish!
Limited to 22 dancers.
TEACHERS: Carrie Field first 4 weeks, Preity 3/15 and 3/30.
*INTERMEDIATE DANCERS, please invite folks. And yes, we have the 2nd class at 5:30!)
MORE ABOUT THE BEGINNER SERIES
This is a fun, no-pressure class on the fundamentals of Argentine Tango for social dancing. We start each class with the basics of walking and embrace to get everyone off to a solid start with this beautiful walking dance and then move into our theme/topic of the month. Our series also includes a dance party to practice what you've been learning!
Each week, we will review what we covered the week prior before moving on to new concepts and material – so you will have plenty of time to practice and ask questions each week.
We recommend taking a full month-long series, but missing a class is cool too. We can catch you up during the review.
During the practice hour after class, you are free to practice what you learned in class, ask questions, and socialize.
WE ARE a community of queer, trans, non-binary and unicorn dancers, and all kindred humans who want to raise the roof with us are welcome to join us.
