Queer Spaces recognises LGBTQIA+ life past and present as strong, vibrant, vigorous and worthy of its own place in history.
About this Event

Celebrated designer Adam Nathaniel Furman and architectural historian Joshua Mardell have brought together a community of contributors to share stories of spaces ranging from the educational and the institutional to the reappropriated and beyond, creating a new 'atlas' of queer spaces with over 400 full-colour images. Looking forward, Queer Spaces suggests visions of what form these spaces may take in the future to continue uplifting queer lives.

Queer people have always found ways to exist, gather and celebrate and will always continue to; therefore, there will always be a need for queer spaces. This publication is a revelation for anyone interested in queer culture and its influences on the built environment, and vice versa.

Join us for a drinks reception at the AA Bookshop to celebrate the launch of this new publication, introduced by Monia De Marchi, Head of First Year at the AA.

The book will be sold at a special launch price of £32 (RRP: £40)
