Queer Prom!!! Hosted by NAAAP Boston Pride

NAAAP Boston's Pride Committee is proud to host the city's FIRST EVER Queer AAPI Prom! Join us at Allston's Stage Karaoke x Studios for a night of singing, dancing, fashion, and queer joy. This is a second chance to create a milestone memory how YOU want with a supportive community of folks just like you! The Boston AAPI LGBTQ+ community is here, and we are loud and proud!!

ACTIVITIES

• Dress code: Wear what makes your heart happy! Cultural attire is welcome.
• Style Spotlights: Get your photo taken and be interviewed on what it means to you to be part of the queer AAPI community or an ally. *
• Prom Royal Court: Enter our fashion contest for a chance to be crowned as an inaugural member of our royal court! Contestants should be ready to report to the runway at 8 PM.
• Door prizes: All attendees will have a free chance to win exciting prizes in a raffle!

• Friendship bracelets: Build community with our cute bracelet-making supplies!

SAFETY AND ACCESSIBILITY

• *Privacy: Don’t want your photo taken? We have discreet stickers for that. Any interviewees from our Style Spotlight may have their video shared on NAAAP Boston's social media platforms.
• Cost: Access is important to us. Email [email protected] if you’d love to attend but the price presents a financial burden - no questions asked.
• Sensory needs: A sensory-friendly room will be available most of the night. Enjoy this quiet space with ear plugs, fidget toys, and more.
• Physical accessiblity: There is one step to enter the building from the street-level entrance. Then, an elevator is available to enter the venue located on the first floor or you may walk up two flights of stairs. There is also a ramp to get onto the performance stage in the venue.

Allies are welcome, 21+ only. Limited free drink tickets will be given on a first-come basis. Food will be available for purchase, as well as themed mocktails!

The NAAAP Boston Pride Committee exists at the intersections of Asian and queer identities.

We carry these identities beyond AAPI Heritage Month and Pride Month. For 365 days a year, we are leaders in activism and advocacy for LGBTQ+ rights and are a powerful representation of the AAPI community at large.
