This queer, patient-lead training will provide a unique perspective on Mental Health Emergencies. We will learn how to recognize mental health emergencies, both in yourself and in others. The training provides multiple suggestions on what to do in a variety of mental health emergency situations, especially ones that often impact the LGBTQ+ community. It also reduces stigma by addressing common misconceptions about inpatient mental health treatment from a real queer patient perspective.
