Queer Joy: Stories of Hope and Resistance
Come join us for an evening celebrating hope and resistance, through the art of collage-making! This in-person event will be held at 32 Lisgar St, with snacks provided. Facilitated by Rei (they/them) and Jorge (he/him), the event hopes to enourage joy in these trying times.
Collaging uses cut-and-paste methods to reassemble broken or diverse materials, reflecting how QTPOC often piece together identities across race, gender, and culture. There is a rich tradition of this syncretism, of patchworking pieces of ourselves and community to nourish our queerness, our racialized experiences for validation in the face of oppression.
