About this Event

Join the San Diego ACS at the launch of our ACS-DEIR grant funded event, "Queer in STEM: A Historical Quandary"!

At this free event, we will showcase and support the visibility of queer history in San Diego with a focus on its pertenance in relation to the science community at large. Enjoy the evening with a dinner-social hour at HomeLab UCSD, the largest biotech accelerator on the US West Coast, followed by a keynote address from Lambda Archives (formerly, the "Lesbian and Gay Historical Society of San Diego"). Proceeding the address, we will finish the night with a panel session of featured queer folx in STEM, from different walks of life, who are willing to share their experiences and journeys as scientists.

We encourage all members and associates to attend, including those who identify as allies of LGBTQIA+ movements.
