About this Event
Queer Hands is a historical and cultural showcase of photos, documents, videos, and other paraphernalia, collated from the Victorian Deaf/Queer community over the previous decades. It is a celebration of pride in both Queerness and Deafness.
Queer Hands will be curated by both Luke King and Selwyn Hoffman and will be showcased at No Vacancy Café and Gallery in the QV building. The gallery is accessible by wheelchair and there are accessible toilets available via lift.
Please register here if you are planning on attending our opening night on the 6th of October. There will be food and drinks available at the venue and it will be a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our community's rich rainbow history.
More information about the gallery and it's season as part of Melbourne Fringe can be found through the following link: https://melbournefringe.com.au/event/queer-hands/
The Rainbow Project would like to acknowledge that this event is being held on the traditional lands of the Wurundjeri and Book Wurrung people of the Kulin nations. We extend our respects to their elders past, present, and emerging.
