Queer Creatives: The People's Proud Poetry Workshop

This poetry workshop is for any and all LGBTQIA+ folks who'd like to write poetry, be it for fun, for self expression and/or for protest.
About this Event

There will be a wide variety of prompts and techniques we'll go through with a 5 min break in the middle (though feel free to take breaks as needed independently) and there will be opportunities to share your work with the group if you wish, and if you're really happy with your work and want to share it wider there will be space for it to be made a part of the ongoing Queer Creatives exhibition at the gallery, that said there is no pressure at all, all invitations are 100% optional.
As this is held in a small enclosed space please take a lateral flow test prior to attending this workshop and stay home if it is positive or you have any covid symptoms regardless.
we will provide some plain printer paper and pencils, absolutely feel free to bring your own notebooks and writing equipment if you wish or even simply write on a notes app on your phone, whatever works best for you.
It would also be excellent if you could bring a print out of a poem that is important to you that you don't mind sharing with the class for a collage exercise, this is not necessary for participation at all but highly encouraged as we'd love to work with materials that are important to the group not just me as a facilitator
