Sheldon Soleskin should be having a terrible day—he’s been unexpectedly transferred to a new school right before the holidays, only has one day to set up his classroom, and just found out his twin sister’s been hiding an invitation to his ex-boyfriend’s Christmas Eve wedding (uh oh). Still, he’s determined to face it all with a smile, some sparkle, and maybe a peppermint mocha or two.
Meanwhile, Theo Berenson just wants to be left alone with his mop and his peace and quiet. But when the chipper new first-grade teacher needs help moving furniture the Sunday after Thanksgiving, he’s roped into doing something he absolutely detests… helping. To make matters worse? Theo’s overbearing parents are coming for Hanukkah, and he might’ve told them he has a boyfriend. (Who hasn’t told one teeny-tiny holiday lie to survive family drama?)
When these two opposites strike a deal to fake-date their way through the holidays, things start to feel a little too real—and a lot too adorable. Cue the cozy chaos, sweet slow-burn chemistry, and all the festive feels.
Haven’t read the book? No problem! Come for the community, stay for the laughter, conversation, and a little holiday mischief.
