Disability Pride presented by Queer and Disabled Drag Shows is coming on September 22nd!Hello, my name is Ryder. After a journey spanning over 8 years, countless tests, and unwavering resilience, I finally received a diagnosis that would change everything – I was diagnosed with mitochondrial disease in August 2023.
The road to this diagnosis was long and arduous, but it has only strengthened my determination to make a difference. As I navigate this new reality, I've come to realize the importance of supporting organizations dedicated to researching and advocating for those affected by mito. That's why I'm fundraising for MitoCanada.
MitoCanada is a non-profit organization committed to advancing the understanding and treatment of mitochondrial disease. Their tireless efforts to provide support, raise awareness, and fund research have been a beacon of hope for me and countless others.
MitoCanada’s mission is to energize and support patients, families, and health care providers across Canada through education, awareness, support, and research. We are facilitating a future where Canadians impacted by mitochondrial disease feel inspired, empowered, and supported to live their best lives.
