SAFE is bringing the Muddied Truth to Tāhuna / Queenstown – an event series exploring the devastating impact that mud farming (intensive winter grazing) is having on animals, the environment, and our communities. Whether you're curious, concerned, or already involved, this is your chance to be part of the conversation and help shape a kinder future for Aotearoa.
Why are we calling for a ban on mud farming? 👇
Every year animals endure immense suffering and neglect due to mud farming. These conditions breach the Animal Welfare Act 1999, inflicting severe pain, distress, and avoidable death. Beyond the harm to animals, mud farming devastates Aotearoa’s environment, polluting waterways, degrading ecosystems, and threatening the health of all lifeforms. It’s time to put an end to this cruel and destructive practice.
