About this Event
Nadia's Hope Foundation is a non-profit charity in Calgary. Our mission is to raise awareness about domestic violence/abuse through public speaking. Our organization was founded after the loss of Nadia El-Dib, who was tragically murdered in Calgary in March 2018 in a case of domestic violence. We are hoping to have her legacy carry on through this foundation, and to help other people that have been in a similar situation.
Twisted has very generously offered their space for the event, therefore other than the cost of your drink ticket, all proceeds will go directly to our organization! We are in the process of establishing a scholarship program at SAIT to honour Nadia, as well as help families in Calgary that have lost someone to domestic violence by helping cover some of their funeral/burial costs.
