Join us every Tuesday evening starting October 8th at 8pm for a chance to draw the Queen of Hearts and win the jackpot.
The Queen of Hearts board, along with rules and regulations will be posted at the bar at all times. Each week, the name of the person pulled, and card chosen will be posted at the bar and on our main Facebook page, along with current jackpot and available cards to choose from.
-Rules to the Queen of Hearts-
At Theo’s Lounge, we are proud to offer a unique game experience called Queen of Hearts. We’ve purchased an official, sealed board and it is kept in a locked case at all times until the time of drawing.
-How It Works-
• There are 52 cards and 2 jokers for a total of 54 cards.
• For a chance to draw for the Queen of Hearts, purchase a $1 ticket.
• Tickets will be sold behind the bar ONLY.
• ALL TICKETS MUST HAVE YOU LEGAL FIRST AND LAST NAME, PHONE NUMBER, AND CARD NUMBER YOU ARE CHOOSING ON THE BACK OF THE TICKET. IF THE NAME ON THE TICKET IS NOT LEGIBLE, THE TICKET WILL BE CONSIDERED VOID AND ANOTHER TICKET WILL BE DRAWN. IF THERE IS NO CARD NUMBER ON YOUR TICKET, ONE OF THE PRESENT BARTENDER(S) WILL MAKE THE SELECTION FOR YOU.
• Tickets will be sold at the bar only and the jackpot amount will be posted.
• The tickets will be sold, completely filled out and placed into the container by 7:30pm on Tuesday’s.
• Each Tuesday at 8:00pm there will be a ticket drawn for a chance to pick the Queen of Hearts.
• Each week after the drawing, all tickets will be thrown away and ticket sales will start over.
• If the number has already been drawn that is written on the back of the ticket, the person’s name that has been called may pick another number.
• If the number has already been drawn that is written on the back of the ticket, and the person’s name that has been called is not present, the bartender(s) will pick the number.
• The game will continue until someone picks the Queen of hearts and a new game will begin.
-Payout Structure-
• Correctly selecting the Queen of Hearts gets you 90% of the jackpot if that person is present during the drawing. The remaining 10% will roll into next week’s jackpot.
• Correctly selecting the Queen of Hearts gets you 50% of the jackpot if that person is not present. The remaining 50% will continue the next contest.
• Joker Cards: $200*
• Face Cards: $200*
• Ace - 10: $100*
• All winners are responsible for any and all taxes. A 1099 will be issued.

-Game Integrity-
The owner of Theo’s Lounge will make up the Queen of Hearts Committee and will address all discrepancies with final say. Ownership reserves the right to change or alter the rules of the game at any time they deem appropriate. Ownership will provide the initial starting jackpot of $500.
All card winners other than the Queen of Hearts will be paid out immediately; jackpot willers will be paid out on the following Monday after all ticket sales are tabulated.

Is the game “Queen of Hearts” Legal?
Queen of hearts is a game known to be played in different ways. Whether or not a certain game is legal depends on the specific facts and circumstances. As a general rule, when all proceeds collected in a queen of hearts game are paid out to the pool of all participants in the same game, it may be considered a “pool not conducted for profit,” which is not against the law in Ohio. However, if the operator takes a “cut” or “rake” of the proceeds, or if the game proceeds are used to pay winners of other games, then the game may be a scheme of chance, which is illegal under Ohio law. Theo’s Lounge does not take any proceeds from the game, it is 100% payout.
