In December 2020, the Collins family’s world changed forever when their son Joseph, then just five years old, was diagnosed with ependymoma brain cancer. Over the last several years, Joseph has undergone multiple surgeries, rounds of radiation and chemotherapy, and even a clinical trial in another city. Despite his incredible strength and spirit, the cancer has returned for the final time and continues to spread. Doctors have now given the family the heartbreaking news that time is limited.Right now, the focus is on creating beautiful, joy-filled memories — moments that Joseph and his family can hold onto forever. The family hopes to return to Alberta to visit loved ones and find peace in the mountains.
