About this Event
The second workshop on "Quantum Information Processing Systems" will take place from April 28-29, 2025 in Houston, TX at Rice University.
Dates: April 28-29, 2025
Location: O'Connor Building for Engineering and Science at Rice University | 6100 Main St, Houston, TX 77005
Summary: This workshop will attempt to shed light on this interaction towards new quantum algorithmic design and applications. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, new variational quantum methods, understanding the complexity of quantum objectives through classical and quantum complexity theory, new applications of quantum algorithms, as well as new experimental insights using existing quantum-based technologies/hardware. This workshop will bring physicists, chemists, computer scientists, and engineers closer, to facilitate discussions around why tackling quantum-related questions is important.
We expect around 60-70 participants, both domestic and international researchers in the field of quantum algorithms and computing, quantum simulation and applications of quantum information science. This project has received funding from Rice University as part of the Conference and Workshop Development Fund. The Ken Kennedy Institute generously provided great assistance organizing this workshop.
Website: View the workshop schedule, speaker lineup, venue and sponsorship details, and opportunities to participate through abstract or poster submissions at https://sites.google.com/view/quantips-2025/home.
Cost: The $50 registration fee covers breakfast, lunch, and refreshments on both days.
Refund Policy: A full refund is available up to one week out from the workshop. Refunds will not be processed within 7 days from the event start date.
