This workshop is for UC Davis graduate students and postdoctoral scholars only.
This workshop is intended to be a crash course on Qualtrics survey design and distribution. Qualtrics is an advanced online survey software, which is free to use by UC Davis graduate students and Postdocs. Learn more here-- https://adminit.ucdavis.edu/tech-tips/conduct-surveys-qualtrics
By the end of the workshop, you'll be able to:
1. Learn the skills necessary to design a survey which appropriately addresses your unique research needs, and understand the advantages and limitations of original survey design.
2. Become familiar with the range of capabilities of Qualtrics software.
3. Learn how to perform simple analyses and create reports in Qualtrics.
4. Learn multiple ways to recruit survey participants online, and understand the advantages and limitations of each approach.
Presenter: Abbey Berghaus
Abbey Berghaus is a PhD candidate in the Sociology department at UC Davis. For their dissertation research, Abbey designed a lengthy survey on Qualtrics and yielded eight thousand participants. Abbey's expertise with Qualtrics comes from years of statistical training along with hands-on experience through their dissertation research.
