The Quality Care Counts Early Educator Conference is a not-to-be-missed event for early childhood educators and caregivers.

  • Jorge O Ramirez M.A Attachment + Boundaries + Consequences = Desired Behavior *Session is in English

During our discussion, we will discuss how to build relationships with children using Attachment theory to implement healthy Boundaries embedded in our daily routine. We will examine how to better understand and facilitate children to vent their emotions with healthy and acceptable Consequences for Desired Behavior. We will create a purposeful platform with dialogue to have healthy intentional conversations about emotions. We will examine and develop skills to normalize emotional awareness in our classroom. The goal is to shift our minds about challenging behavior using research in Child Development. On many occasions, a child's emotional dysregulation is a cry for help. Together, we will help children's emotional intellect. Through with conversation, we will be equipped with the knowledge and mindfulness approach to scaffold children during an emotional dysregulation.

This breakout session will focus on best practices for responding to art in early childhood.

We'll discuss how to effectively speak to children about their own artwork, as well as practice visible thinking strategies we can use with students as they explore and evaluate other art.

This workshop provides a supportive environment where attendees explore what truly lights them up, empowering them to align their lives with their unique purpose. Together, they foster a culture of growth and inspiration, helping others lead more fulfilling lives in alignment with their purpose.


  • Seannie Egger and Alana Willemsen Conscious Discipline- Choices: Moving from Entitlement to Empowerment

One of the most fundamental choices is whether to actively change ourselves or spend our energy trying to make others change. Learn how to shift your language from powerlessness to the language or responsibility and choices. Reclaim your power in the classroom.

Math is everywhere, and preschool is the perfect place to start exploring it! This workshop will show you how to align your math teaching with the California Learning Foundations and the Counting Collections resource by using play and exploration as key components.   • Melanie Pressley Open Discussion On Children’s Behavior and Their Social Emotional Learning

Come and join us for an open floor conversation about typical child behaviors in the preschool classroom and how they might affect children’s social emotional learning. We will have some time of self reflection, questions, and share personal stories and experiences. During our breakout session, we will focus on your atypical preschool classroom with and without children who have special needs. We will have a few people from Inclusive Education Community Partnership(IECP) who are currently providing and supervising services for preschool children and children in upper grade levels in Lake County. Come and join us as we share and grow together!

Participants will learn about the characteristics of Autism Spectrum Disorder, and how to recognize red flags for autism in young children. Participants will learn about Evidence Based Interventions for students with Autism, as well as some free resources to learn more about specific interventions.

Durante nuestra discusión, discutiremos cómo construir relaciones con los niños utilizando la teoría del apego para implementar límites saludables integrados en nuestra rutina diaria. Examinaremos cómo comprender mejor y facilitar que los niños desahoguen sus emociones con Consecuencias saludables y aceptables para el comportamiento deseado. Crearemos una plataforma con propósito con diálogo para tener conversaciones saludables e intencionales sobre las emociones.
