Quakertown Park Walking Tour

On Friday, February 21 at 2:00 PM, Curator Kim Cupit will lead a walking tour through Quakertown Park to share the history of the people and places of Denton’s former African American neighborhood known as Quakertown. Attendees will meet at the Denton Civic Center.

We will follow the sidewalks throughout the park. Walking shoes are encouraged.

Prior to the Walking Tour, from 1-2 PM, attendees can visit the Denton County African American Museum at the Historical Park. Step inside a restored house from Quakertown's original neighborhood.
