The location is the Pomona College Organic Farm. It can be a little bit tricky to find. The given address is 295 E 1st St., Pomona, CA 91711. One entrance (for bicyclists and pedestrians) is off Amherst Avenue through a large, colorful gate that is opposite a parking garage. If you're coming by car, turn north from 1st St. onto Columbia Ave., then turn immediately into the parking garage. If you walk east through the garage, you will come to Amherst Avenue and the gate.
If you're coming from elsewhere on the campuses of the Claremont Colleges, find the Greek Theatre. Behind it (south and east of the stage area), there are footpaths that lead to an unpaved road. Follow it to the south (you will see signs) to the farm entrance. You will find yourself facing a statue of the goddess Pomona. We are immediately to her left under a large oak tree, in the middle of a circle of log stools.
I can send a map with longititude and latitude for your GPS, if that would help. Write me at [email protected].
