Soaring Crane Qigong sparked widespread interest in Chinese cities during the 1980s, eventually attracting 20 million practitioners. Qigong means Energy Work or Exercises. These are found to support one’s health and well-being. Simple to learn, easy to do, and supported by group practice, this is suitable for ages 15 and up. Among the diversity of Qigong forms in China, Soaring Crane was thought to be especially good for the Heart and uplifting the Spirit. It is popular among cancer survivors, and it can be uniquely helpful for joint pain. It is easier for older bodies than most Yoga or Tai Chi. (We will be standing, so bring a chair if needed.)
