QiGong in the park Enjoy simple & powerful QiGong practices outdoors. Connect with nature and your innate wellbeing.
About this Event

Join us for a lovely outdoor practice of QiGong. We will meet at Wilson Park in Carrboro by the start of the "red path", dirt trail leading into the woods. Follow the paved trail from the bathrooms behind the tennis courts. The "red path" is the dirt trail that is marked with a big sign.

Beginning with a silent contemplative walk into the forest, we will then practice QiGong near the creek. At the end of the session there will be time for socializing and connecting, with the option to either walk out of the forest together or stay to continue hiking on your own.

(In case of rain, we will switch to Zoom and the link will be sent to those who registered)

All are welcome at whatever level of experience.

Come as you are. No need to bring anything other than whatever you would normally do for a hike in the woods. We will be crossing a stream and the trail has some ups and downs, so good shoes are advised.

This event will be led by Rhea Colmar, RN/BSN, LMBT.

Rhea Colmar combines her experience in dance, qi gong, massage & bodywork, and public health with mindfulness & meditation. Practicing and studying Tibetan Buddhist approaches to meditation since 2000, Rhea started Open Sky Meditation Community to bring together a variety of mindfulness/meditation practices. Rhea is a certified practice group leader for Spring Forest QiGong, an approved continuing education provider by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork for Mindfulness classes, and a certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher (MMT 100 with Dharma Moon and Tibet House)
