Qigong (A.K.A. Chi Gong ) is a moving meditation technique that not only improves physical fitness, but also assists us in achieving a deeper sense of calm, relieves tension and stress, and helps us recover from injury and illness. It is part of the ancient systems of Taoism and Chinese medicine that value the interconnectedness and inherent wholeness our Self and our body’s seeming parts. Qigong supports our bodies’ natural capacity for self-healing. Qigong allow us to relax, get out of "fight or flight" and our parasympathetic nervous system to take over so healing can happen. Our practice includes conscious breathing, stretching, activation of chi, flowing movements and more.
This practice can be modified for most bodies.
Community Practices are offered in the spirit of the gift (suggested donation: $15-25; all welcome); please note I split this 50/50 with CSL). I have been experimenting with gift economy for four years! Rooted in trust in the Universe and its unlimited nature.
