Join Cat for this unique series of Qi gong and Yin yoga. Qi means energy and gong means skillful cultivation. In this class you will be releasing stagnant or toxic/unhealthy energy or Qi from your physical and emotional bodies as you welcome in healthy, nourishing and supportive energy for increased immunity and greater ease in your body and your emotions.QI gong is a practice from China that is part of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) along with acupuncture and herbs. It is a practice that is based in the Five Element theory. In this class series you will learn about how the five elements that are in nature also show up in your body and impact your energy , both physically and emotionally.
The practices will be accessible for beginners to Qi gong and class will end with a few yin yoga poses that will focus on the same meridian energy lines that the Qi gong movements helped to balance and activate. You will leave feeling a sense of calm /alert as your nervous system will be more regulated and you will feel more grounded and at ease.
