Qi Gong & Traditional Chinese Medicine- Los Angeles Workshop

In this workshop, participants will get a chance to experience the 6 Healing Sounds of Qi Gong 六字訣 at Ladera Park. This will be led by Dorian Lam of Awaken Remedies. This Qi Gong includes simple movements and sounds to support emotional balancing in the Traditional Chinese Medicine elements. This can be done sitting or standing, and is suitable for all ages. We recommend participants dress in warm, comfortable clothing.

Afterwards we will have a casual Q+A with an introduction to the history of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and its holistic health system, and how TCM modalities like acupuncure, cupping, herbs, and qi gong can help support our physical health and emotional body to treat imbalances and prevent illness.

Dorian Lam (she/her) is a licensed acupuncturist, herbalist, functional medicine practitioner and trauma touch therapist. Her practice is built on a holistic, natural, integrative, trauma-informed, gender affirming, and anti-oppressive perspective. She believes self-healing can only take place in a safe space where we can begin to release the rooted trauma and emotions that led to physical illnesses in the body.
