About this Event
Qi Gong is a mindful movement practice where we work with our life-force energy to help feel less stressed, more energised, and in greater harmony with ourselves, others and with the rest of nature. Qi Gong has its roots in ancient China and is based on Taoist philosophy and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) theory.
This workshop will cover:
- Introduction to the Three Treasures - Jing, Qi and Shen, and associated energy centres (lower, middle and upper Dantiens)
- Qi Gong practice and meditation to cultivate, transform and harmonise the Three Treasures
In TCM, the Three Treasures are physical, emotional and spiritual energies within the body. Jing relates to the physical body and the essence of life. Qi is vital energy and Shen refers to the mind, consciousness or spirit. The Three Treasures are not separate - they transform back and forth like ice to water, water to vapor, to enhance our vitality and wellbeing.
