Gather in community to tap into the ancestral wisdom our bodies steward within. Facilitator Camellia Dao-Ling will share gentle movement and mindfulness practices to root our bodies in sweetness and strength. Through Embodied Energetics and Community Somatics, we will tap into limitless vitality, nourishment and renewal from our community, our ancestors, the four directions, constellations, planets and seasons.
Community Somatics means we heal together when we co-create a liberatory space to release, process, and integrate through our soma. Through Embodied Energetics - practices that reconnect our bodies with the supportive forces of nature - we plug into ancestral power more mighty than systems of harm.
In a gender-affirming and trauma-informed circle, we will follow in the footsteps of our ancestors to navigate the challenges of our time. All ages and ability levels are welcome to this gentle experience of somatic healing.
Optional ear-seed treatment and training allows us to skill-up as we do community acupressure in the tradition of the Young Lords and Black Panthers. In an "each one teach one" model, we increase access to this elegantly simple, highly effective, non-invasive treatment modality.
