Born from a university assignment, Quincoction is a Melbourne-based Jazz Fusion and Latin band that was unexpectedly meant to be. What began as a single performance quickly took on a life of its own, leading to an unexpected second gig that set the wheels in motion. The band’s fate was sealed: a collective decision to continue this electrifying project.

Blending the timeless funk of James Brown and the swagger of Prince with the intricate rhythms of Japanese fusion legends such as Casiopea with the vibrancy of 70s disco, Quincoction creates a sound that is both sophisticated and irresistible. Their live show is a masterclass in tight arrangements and spontaneous breakdowns, a formula they perfected during their 2024 year-long residency at the Motley Bauhaus. Creating experiences and performing at prestigious events such as Floribunda Exhibition, Quincoction will make you stamp your feet and groove to the beat.
