SONEM is hosting Charlotte’s first beer and bellydance event at Divine Barrel Brewing, as an event to bring the dance and music community together.Please join us for a night of music and dance while connecting with other performers from the area!
Event info:
The event will start at 6. Feel free to order food from The Sidekick food truck, as well as show your support for the brewery by ordering beer, seltzers, or wine. There are non-alcoholic beverage options as well. The food truck is pizza and wings, but you can also post-mate or door-dash your own food too!!
Parking is located in the parking lot of divine barrel brewery as well as overflow barking in the gravel lot across the street. Please do not park on the lot past the brewery as they will tow.
The show will be two hours long consisting of live middle eastern music by the host group Sonem and will feature performances by local bellydance students and performers.

In order for the show to have a nice flow we are asking for dancers to limit their performances to 4min. Please have music on an phone to plug into the sound equipment just incase. Please email Lauren ([email protected]) with your name, stage name, song, artist, and length of song so she can get the lineup set. Troupes and groups are also welcome!
***PERFORMANCE, COSTUMING, AND MUSIC should ALL be FAMILY FRIENDLY as this event is open to the public*** no exceptions!
Dancers may perform to live music or recorded music,think of it like a haffla setting.
There are only 10 spots open for dancers wanting to perform to their own music (canned music) this will be done on a fist come first serve basis, as we want to encourage others to get up and dance to the live music provided as well.
Dancers please come dressed to dance, the brewery restroom is available for touch ups, but there is not a dressing area.
Lastly have fun! This event is for all musicians and dancers to connect, get to know the community, share our craft with the community, and build the community. If you’re an instructor bring you cards, if your a student and want to try improv go for it! This is a safe and fun environment for everyone?
