About this Event
QAGOMA’s award-winning Art and Dementia Program is a participant-focused gallery experience designed for up to six people living with dementia*. The program format draws on evidence to support psychosocial wellbeing and improved mood, using non-pharmacological intervention approaches.
Slow viewing of selected artworks incorporates specially curated visual, auditory and narrative prompts that stimulate exploration and reflection, in an aesthetically rich and inclusive social setting.
A therapeutic creative activity complements the artwork viewing to invite relaxation, support autonomy, sustain verbal fluency and enhance communication, and maximise function through meaningful engagement.
*Suitable for a maximum capacity of 6 people with dementia (plus care staff), to support a person-centred, therapeutic program delivery.
The program is booked exclusively by one group, on each advertised date.
The program cost is for one 90-minute facilitated program, GST inclusive.
REFUND POLICY
Refunds can be requested up to 72 business hours prior to your program date. Refunds are not provided for cancellations received within 72 business hours of the booked program.
